Now that the month has concluded, it’s time to take a look at goal progression. For 2023 I have 3 main goals; grow my Seeking Alpha follower count, increase my projected annual dividend income, and generate a target level of passive income for the year. I am more than happy with the progress that was made in all 3 of my goals during the month of March. In fact, I had a record month for dividends received and total passive income generated! Let’s take a look at the snapshot for a quick summary of goal progression this past month.
I am pleased to see that my SA follower count continues to ramp up, adding nearly 100 new followers this month. I started the first day of 2023 with 366 followers, in three months I have increased my following by 82% to 666. I have enjoyed building my Seeking Alpha community and can’t wait to see what next month looks like.
I had a phenomenal month in growing my dividend income, adding roughly $130 to my projected annual dividend income. Standing at a total of $5,863 I am within striking distance of the major personal intermediate milestone of $6,000. Please see my dividend income growth report for March for all of the details.
Lastly, March 2023 marked a record month in total dividends received in a single month and total passive income generated! In total, I received $644.63 in dividends during the month, accompanied by $178.42 received from Seeking Alpha, and $15.98 earned from options premiums by writing covered calls. It looks like I am ahead of pace to reach my $7,200 year end goal after the first quarter of the year comes to a close.
